We cut the doorway. You walk through it.
Wall sawing — openings & penetrations
Track-mounted wall saws make clean vertical and horizontal cuts through concrete and masonry of virtually any thickness — door and window openings, HVAC penetrations, stair openings — ready to finish.
What we open up
Openings we cut.
- DoorwaysNew doors in foundations and tilt-up panels.
- WindowsWindow openings, square and ready to frame.

- Stairs & elevatorsStair and elevator openings, cut to layout.

Wall Sawing
The tools
- Track-mounted wall saw — thick walls, long straight cuts, flush to floors and ceilings
- Hand saw — shallow cuts and tight spots
- Ring saw — deep cuts in confined spaces
- Concrete chainsaw — square inside corners with no overcut
What wall sawing is
A wall saw runs a diamond blade along a track bolted to the wall, so the cut is perfectly straight and the depth is controlled to the inch. It cuts where a hand saw can't reach the thickness and a demolition hammer would leave a ragged edge.
Typical jobs
- Door and window openings in foundations and tilt-up panels
- HVAC, duct and pipe penetrations
- Stair and elevator openings
- Expansion joints and partial wall removals
How NoCo does it
We GPR-scan the wall first, lay out the opening with you, and cut with water control and dust management in place. Overcuts are avoided with a chainsaw finish at the corners when the job calls for it. When the piece is removed, the edges are square and ready for framing or finish.
Every job starts with a scan
Every NoCo job starts the same way. We scan the slab or wall with ground penetrating radar to map rebar, post-tension cables, conduit and voids. Then we choose the right tool — a track-mounted wall saw for openings, a rig-mounted core drill for round penetrations, a walk-behind flat saw for slabs and pavement — and cut once, straight and to depth. When we open something up, our pour-back service can close it again with concrete matched to the surrounding grade and finish.
Who we work for
General contractors and builders who need openings cut on schedule. Plumbers, electricians and HVAC contractors who need clean penetrations without collateral damage. Property owners and managers modifying an existing building. Homeowners adding a basement window or a new door. Municipal and commercial crews cutting roads and slabs. Residential or commercial, one hole or a whole floor — the standard is the same.

Common questions
Answers before you call.
How thick a wall can you cut?
Track saws handle walls well beyond what hand tools reach; tell us the thickness and we'll match the blade.
Will there be dust and water?
Wet cutting controls dust; we manage the water and leave the site clean.
